Fear is just an unpleasant emotion. It is usually caused by the belief that someone or something is dangerous, likely to cause us pain, or pose a threat to us.

In this post lets break down FEAR together so we can understand where it stems from, and the options we have. First lets acknowledge that FEAR is just like any other emotion that we have each day; Anger, Happiness, Gratefulness, Sadness etc. Fear is just an emotion.

The bad news: We have a lot of fears. Fear of our safety,  fear of starting something new, fear of ending, fear of not being good enough, fear of being too much. The list goes on and on. I can only imagine the extra fear when you are responsible for caring for a child. We usually get so consumed by our fear that we decide its best for us to let it ruminate inside us. We play ping pong back and forth in our heads. This is not the answer. The second thing people do with Fear is RUN. We decide the best way to deal with this fear is to put it outside of us and run as far as we can, as fast as we can.

The good news: We control our emotions. We are responsible for our own feelings. Your mind has control over all of your emotions you are able to decide if you are going to let FEAR or something you once feared control you. Repeat after me ” I set this story of FEAR Down.” OR “This story of FEAR is no longer true for me”  REPEAT! 

You have two choices when it comes to your Fears- You can forget everything and run. OR you can breathe, sit with those emotions and just face them. As hard as it is FACING it part of the process. Once you have Faced Everything; then you can RISE!!
